I usually post these over on LJ, but figured I should do them here, too . . . so! For my first DW camera pic posting, I would like to say . . .

GAAAAH, I'M SO FAR BEHIND!!!!!

Which is to say I have an enormous backlog of pics to put up-- these, the altered panels from book 5 of the manga, and now chapter 25 as well! Bleeeeeh. Sorry, guys, my time lately has been eaten away by friends and cherry blossom season respectively. I have sooooo muuuuuch to dooooo it's kind of insane.

So commentary might be a bit sparse this time around, my apologies . . . I'll try to get everything up as fast as I can.

Hello, all!

Thanks for patiently waiting for the next manga chapter . . . I have it, but I haven't had the time to cut it up, and I can't find my camera cord and have had no time to search for it. But my concert is over, and I have free time for these things again! So please expect the next chapter soon.

But in the meantime, the saiunkoku_fic community is running our annual Secret Santa exchange. We've had a really wonderful turn-out in past, and this year is looking to be a great one as well, judging by the requests so far. But we need all the entrants we can get, so come on down! Just look at this chibi Ryuuki . . .

暗き黄昏の宮: The Palace of Dark Twilight (the word twilight has the kanji for yellow in it, BTW)

Projected release date is 11/28

Also, the blurb says that the final chapter is approaching, and that at the end of the last book, Shuurei had gone missing, and Ryuuki was very upset by this. Then, Suou, who had previously worked with Shuurei, returns, and he talks about something astonishing which has happened to Shuurei's body?!

(I don't think this is actually the last book, but maybe the second to last or even third to last one, depending on Gaidens)

According to Japanese bloggers, the next novel in the Saiunkoku series will be called "彩雲国物語　紫龍は雲に隠される" (The Purple Dragon is Hidden in the Clouds). The exact release date has not been made clear, but some bloggers speculate that it will be in December.

BTW, according to Japanese sources (which may or may not be reliable), the next published book won't be a Gaiden, but a normal novel (in other words, continuing the plotline of novel 14).

There is no information on when the exact publication date of this novel will be.

Hello, everyone! It feels like it's been a while, doesn't it? Well, the big news is that this is the last ever issue of Beans Ace. From now on, as reported by kagedreams and confirmed by this month's issue, Saiunkoku will be printed in Asuka magazine. The first chapter will apparently be out on the 24th. Which means two doses of manga for us in a single month! That being the case, I thought I would hurry up and get to work on the camera pics and uploading. So there are overall less close-ups this time around. However, the extra with this month was a lovely poster of the Ran clan, and there's some extremely gorgeous Kochou, not to mention Shuurei's infamous "oh, Seiran taught me this" attack, so it's still well worth the effort! Plus there'll be another chapter before the month is out, huzzah!

Before I run off to India I wanted to post this . . . this is a zipped file of scans of the entire Saiunkoku short story from the Beans vol. 13, uploaded on MediaFire. I hope it works, because I'm not going to be able to play with it until after I return in September.

This time around I've got uploads from the newly released drama CD, along with camera pics of the CD booklet and the rest of the extras from the manga release. Tomorrow on my travels I'll pick up the latest copy of the Beans, so I should be able to post the extras from that, plus the illustrations . . . and if anyone requests it, I can also camera pic or scan the story itself.

Saiunkoku manga chapter 21 camera pics

Hallohallo! In the interests in adding fuel to this community, I'm going to start putting all the stuff I post on LJ here, as well. I might even start putting up posts from the past, provided I can find them, and my time and determination hold out . . . .

Thanks to Asuka magazine, we get another chapter this month . . . and so here I am with camera pics once again. This chapter is more of an introduction to Saiunkoku, as it goes over the current situation of our two "main" characters, Ryuuki and Shuurei, rather than advancing the plot much further. Plus there's lots of really great extras included! Two pages of stickers, a bunch of stationary pages, and an extra book with the first chapter of the manga, the crossdressing substory, and a further short story from the author (I've included camera pics of that short story behind the cut, too). I've also obtained the recently released drama CD, so I'll be uploading all nine tracks from that in a subsequent post. And on Tuesday I'll have the Beans, and will be able to camera pic the illustrations from it, and the short story inside, and the second part of the extra short story that I've included here.

So everybody, please enjoy!
